The Diaper Gap Project

The diaper gap is the difference between the diapers a family needs and the diapers they have.

Nearly 1 in 2 U.S. families can't afford enough diapers(National Diaper Bank Network). Without them, children are at greater risk of illness and cannot attend daycare centers. That directly affects how stable a family is financially. Our goal at The Diaper Gap Project is to find new sources of diapers and get them to organizations helping families in need around Boston.

How You Can Help

Two places diapers are hiding

In your closet

Open packs and outgrown sizes are perfectly good if they're clean and unused. Babies go through 5 to 8 diapers a day, and when they size up, the rest of the box is done. Moving up just a few days early can leave 15 to 30 clean diapers behind. Most donation bins won't take them. We will.

In your community

On average, a diaper drive at a school or workplace can bring in nearly 500 diapers a day. We help you run it and get everything where it needs to go. Most people are glad to help. They just need someone to give them the chance.
